Big Boy Room

Several Months ago before we even moved Lawson into his toddler bed I went on the hunt for his big boy bedroom theme. The kid Loves dogs and firetrucks but I was ready to phase the Firetrucks OUT!!
I mean I know that is what his daddy does but this momma only wants to have to worry about one person in this family being in harms way when they go to work!! So maybe if I get rid of the firetrucks in his room his love will dwindle??

YEAH RIGHT this blow lives and breathes for FIRETRUCKS!!

Anyways, I saw some blogs with inspiration on a Dog themed room with blues, reds, and khakis. Nothing too cartoonish because I want him to grow with the room. I ended up going with Dog embroidered sheets, Tommy Hilfiger comforter and Shams, pottery barn inspired drapes and Esty inspired art.

This room is still a huge work in progress (I am still working on the Art, Accessories, Replacing the blue lamp shade, etc) but hey its started and Lawson seems to love his big bed!!

I actually made the dog applique on this pillow case.. Looking to do some art with it as well in the room

the Dalmatian print will be coming down once i come up with another piece of art

I have ordered the art for above his bed. Cant wait to see the personalized piece
That's all I have for now, but I will be updating pictures on here as the room comes together better

Hopefully it wont be too long before my next blog!! Till then, take care!!

SNOW!!!

Let me take you back to Early Spring.. Yep Spring!! The first day of Spring had come and gone and with it came the warmer weather. We had highs in the 70's, even attended a little friends birthday party sporting shorts, short sleeve shirts and flip flops.. Then all the Sudden we got SNOW!!

I was headed to a local children's upscale consignment sale when it started.. nothing much right!! It was coming down pretty hard for our SC/NC area.. Of course I waited too long to take pictures because by afternoon time it had started to melt, but for us we got SNOW and that is all that matters!!

right when it started the boys catching snowflakes in their mouths

back yard

after his nap I wanted to get a few pictures of Lawson in the snow.. as it MELTED of course

Easter 2013

I first want to apologize on how slack I have been with my blog. I just don't seem to find the time to update it. With working out, Lawson's school, swim lessons, gymboree, playgroup, me working two days a week, and Lawson not sleeping well the blog has been the last thing on my mind.. SIGH!!!

Easter was a wonderful day despite the drizzly colder weather. Lawson awoke anxious to see what the Easter bunny had brought him.  The day was filled with chocolate, talks of jesus from Lawson, an easter egg hunt at church and a brunch at 131 Main. Due to the weather, the pictures did not turn out as well as I had hoped but hey we took some right?
Here are some of our Easter pictures.

Lawson excited coming down the stairs.. Look at that bed head

Oh Easter Eggs

He loved all his eggs

Spoiled much

Excited about Easter and ready for church

I went back and forth to put him into a smocked Easter outfit or this one.. The colder weather made the choice and I was happy with it. NO Mom these are seesucker pants not pajama pants.. Yes she asked

Off to church.. Yes he had to bring his soccer ball and book with him
During Church Lawson was very attentive and well behaved I was shocked. He was very interested in "Jesus" and kept asking questions about Jesus. I think this is in part to his Church Moms Morning out program he now attends on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Or Maybe its because he knew there was an Easter Egg hunt after the service.
Heading to the Easter Egg hunt.. which was unfortunately moved inside due to the rain but still fun

He has truly mastered the hunting for eggs. We had to go behind him and put eggs back down for other kids his age because he had way too many

After the hunt the rain has stopped and I wanted to catch a few pictures

Love my little giggling boy

Our Easter photo.. hey at least Jonah and I are looking at the camera.. Its harder now to get Lawson to pay attention and smile than it ever has been before

checking out his loot

Lawson and Harper. Harper was baptized in Lawson's baptism class.  He was sharing his candy with her

Since the service wasn't as long as last year and I had brain fart making our brunch reservations we had some time to kill so we ended up at Freedom Park. I was freezing but the boys seem to fend ok in the bad weather and I snapped a few photos

Look at the ducks momma

This has to be my favorite picture from the day

That wraps up our Easter. Hope you Enjoyed the pictures
